Swirling clear and blue glass inspired this watery scene. Shot through with bubbles it really evokes moving water. The koi is hand painted with traditional stained glass paint in several layers. The final layer was silver stain which gives a golden yellow glow to the fish. These paint effects are achieved through kiln-firing and will not fade or scratch as the paint is fused to the glass in the firing process.
 
The central panel is copper foiled to include lilies and lily pads. the outer frame is leaded and introduces extra colours.
This piece comes with a hand crafted solid oak mount. Chrome clamps secure the glass in place and mean you can display it in any position. (A philip's head screwdriver is needed to secure and release the clamps)
