Mr Crow has been created by use of a dipping pen followed by another kiln fired layer of painted detail. The sun is a special effect achieved using silver stain, which has to be fired at a lower temperature, hence this was done last. Silver stain acts differently to paint as it actually stains the surface of the glass. whereas  paint fuses with it.
All hand painted and kiln-fired for permanence.
